Server – Miner’s Lamp at The Georgetown Inn, Canmore

The Miner’s Lamp Restaurant and the Georgetown Inn have been welcoming guests to the Canadian Rockies since 1993 by providing outstanding mountain accommodation and dining just minutes from Banff National Park.

Job Duties
Servers are responsible for serving food and beverages, general plate service, presenting bills to customers and accepting payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings. Describing menu items including daily specials for customers and advising on menu selections, etc.

Requirements:

• 6 to 12 months of direct work experience in a restaurant or pub in a server capacity
• Responsible beverage service certification
• Customer service oriented
• Must be of legal age to mix / serve alcoholic beverages
• Ability to address customer complaints and concerns
• Ability to assist customers with special needs
• Balance cash

Line Cook – Miner’s Lamp at The Georgetown Inn, Canmore

Job Duties
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing short orders, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Preparing and cooking full course meals, individual dishes and foods. Ensuring quality of food and determining size of food portions.

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Work with minimal supervision
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc)
• Wash dishes

Dishwasher – Miner’s Lamp at The Georgetown Inn, Canmore

Job Duties
Dishwashers are responsible for operating dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware. Sanitizing and washing dishes and other items by hands. Scouring pots and pans, cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.

Hotel Front Desk Clerk at The Georgetown Inn, Canmore

Job Duties
Hotel front desk clerks are responsible for arranging services for guests with special needs, investigating and resolving complaints and concerns, exchanging foreign currency, processing departures, calculating charges and receiving payments, balancing cash and completing sheets, reports and related forms.

Requirements:

• Register arriving guests and assigning rooms
• Process GP arrivals and departures
• Take / cancel room reservations
• Process phone calls
• Provide info on hotel facilities and services and services / points of interest in the area

Housekeeping Room Attendant at The Georgetown Inn, Canmore

Job Duties
Housekeeping Room Attendants are responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing and polishing floors. Dusting furniture, vacuuming carpeting and rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture. Making beds and changing sheets, distributing clean towels and toiletries, stocking linen closets, cleaning, disinfecting and polishing kitchen fixtures and appliances.

Requirements:

• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures
• Cleaning and disinfecting elavators
• Handle and report LF items
• Attend to guests requests for extra supplies and items
• Provide basic information on the facilities
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
