The Georgetown Inn is superbly located within the town of Canmore, one of Canada's premier mountain communities. Canmore is situated between Banff National Park and Kananaskis Country, making it the perfect base to enjoy a vast array of year round activities: hiking, climbing, canoeing, horseback riding, rafting, biking, fishing, golfing, kayaking, skating and skiing are all available in this recreational paradise. Canmore is just over an hour's drive west of Calgary and twenty minutes east of Banff townsite.
The Inn itself is situated within walking distance from the town centre with its wide variety of dining choices, entertainment, shopping and art galleries.
For sightseeing and photography, the world renowned towns of Banff and Lake Louise are within short scenic drives. Outdoor enthusiasts can choose trails ranging from short strolls to multi-day backpacking trips.
Those visiting during winter will not want to miss the Canmore Nordic Centre, site of the 1988 Olympic Nordic ski events. Downhill skiers can choose from five different ski areas within a one hour's drive.
Guests have a choice of over 100 restaurants located in the Bow Valley. Cultural events ranging from natural science, history presentations, opera and theatre are available all year long. Canmore hosts several annual events such as the Highland Games, Folk Festival, Winterfest and Mozart On The Mountain.
For those who would just like to get away, The Georgetown Inn is the only place to kick back, relax and unwind.
The Georgetown Inn was established in 1993 by Doreen and Barry Jones and their adult children. The inn was built to their specifications based on some of the favourite inns of their native country. Many of the antiques on display are originally from England.
We invite you to stay at the Georgetown Inn.
